Music is virtually essential in our lives; it is a universal means of expression and a teaching resource that positively influences students’ cognitive, motor, social and emotional development.

Music to THINK

Learning music theory stimulates cognitive activity, builds and strengthens mental structures, and boosts memory, attention, creativity, as well as auditory and analytical skills.

Music to GROW

Music excites. It awakens and cultivates sensitivity. It fosters socialisation and builds self-esteem, serving as an effective way to overcome loneliness and shyness. It fosters relaxation and channels adrenaline.

Music to FEEL

Dance harmonises movement. Dancing improves body coordination, flexibility, agility and balance, supporting the development of both fine and gross motor skills. It is also good for the respiratory and cardiovascular systems.

Music is integrated as a complementary activity as part of Colegio San Cristóbal’s academic programme.. This consists of a cutting-edge musical education programme that provides all students with access to a high-quality education in music.

At San Cristóbal Music School, we focus our early-learning studies on young children, creating a space where they can engage with music in a playful way, through games, songs and group activities, they learn musical notes, develop their listening skills, sing their first melodies, work on their sense of rhythm and start becoming familiar with musical instruments.

The music school also offers the option to take up learning an instrument without having taken prior elementary music lessons, catering to students who wish to experience the joy of music in a fun and engaging way.

Through Elementary Music Lessons, our students develop discipline and technique while deepening their knowledge and appreciation of music. Elementary Music Lessons are given across 4 academic years , preferably from primary 1 to 5.

Students choose the instrument in addition to taking music theory classes.
