Technologies for Learning and Knowledge (TLK) play a key role in improving the teaching and learning process. They leverage Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in a formative way to foster meaningful learning for students and teachers alike.

Digital Competence

Digital Competence entails the safe, creative and critical use of Technologies for Learning and Knowledge (TLK) for information, communication, content creation, security and problem-solving across all areas; personal, academic and professional.

It entails developing skills, attitudes, values and abilities when it comes to accessing and processing digital information, enabling adaptation to technological demands with a view to accomplishing specific goals or tasks. It implies participation, cooperative work,motivation and curiosity to learn.

At Colegio San Cristóbal, we see the development of digital competences as being of the utmost importance for anyone seeking to navigate and engage effectively in today’s dynamic and connected society. Throughout their education, students progressively acquire the skills, abilities, knowledge and attitudes necessary to achieve this. These competences are cross-curricular, meaning they can be applied to problems and situations across all curricular areas, and they continuously evolve in response to changes in the devices and applications that support them.

INTERACTIVE WHITEBOARD

Each of our classrooms has an Interactive Whiteboard (IWB), providing a gateway to the world and serving as a catalyst for innovation and collaboration, while granting access to the vast knowledge available on the Internet. This makes classes more dynamic, visually engaging, and multimedia-based, facilitating students’ understanding of teachers’ explanations and fostering their active participation..

ROBOTICS AND PROGRAMMING

The social and professional environments our students will enter demand creative individuals who can offer innovative solutions to the challenges they encounter. The subject Robotics and Programming helps develop the skills and competences students will need: creativity, communication, empathy, initiative, entrepreneurial spirit, teamwork, collaboration, leadership, and self-confidence.

When it comes to the personal, academic and professional growth of our students, it is of utmost importance that they know how to interact with various devices and select the one that best fits the task at hand, which is why, throughout their education, they develop skills and competences to use different devices in a healthy, safe and creative manner.

In order to equip students with the skills needed to thrive in dynamic, connected environments, San Cristóbal teaches them to use various tools effectively, providing a secure and adaptable foundation for learning, collaboration and communication.

1X1 DEVICE PROJECT

The use of the digital tablet as a work tool in the daily lives of our students aims to improve the teaching and learning process in a safe and effective way, through the personalization and pedagogical enrichment of content, the development of autonomy, the enhancement of creativity, and the increase of motivation.

ONLINE PLATFORM

Our school management platform and virtual learning environment link families and students to the school by providing access to news, marks, exams, daily updates, calendars, teacher communication, scheduling parent-teacher meetings, report card downloads, fee management, extracurricular activities, self-assessment tests, online assignments, subject bulletin boards and tutorial management.
